I am getting to know my new sewing machine, so far so good, I found the walking foot easy to attach so now I am ready for the next patchwork class.

I am so pleased with the quality of the Janome HD9, it is so sturdy, solid, fast, easy to use and goes through thick seams like you'd expect from a HD machine. I like the separate bobin motor and it means that you don't have to unthread your machine to wind the bobin, it's set up with it's own thread holder. This machine only does straight stitch, no zig-zag, button holes etc etc but it is built to just sew, sew, sew! It is a heavy machine but I'm getting used to that, I think it would be best though, set up on a table or similar and left with it's cover over rather than having to lift and carry every time you want to sew but of course the weight of the machine is also a plus as it won't move about when you drag heavy fabric, leather or other materials through it.

This machine is amazing, the perfect stitch! So robust and simple to use. Service from GUR was brilliant. Highly recommend both the machine and the shop.

I'm a beginner but had grown out of my beginner sewing machine. I wanted to buy a machine which would be easy to use just now while I'm still learning but would also be 'future proof' as my skills and projects develop so I thought what better machine than the ones used on the Sewing Bee - if it's good enough for them it's more than good enough for me. So far it's been a delight to use, it's so easy to set up and the functions like lock stitch button and thread cutting button are such useful, time saving features. I absolutely love my machine and I can't wait to use it for years to come. I ordered my machine and an hour later received and email saying it was ready for dispatch and it arrived the next day. Fabulous machine! Smooth and quiet with a great choice of stitches. Easy to operate, automatic needle threader really speeds the process up and let's you get on with sewing. Would recommend!

Ordering process was very straight forward, invoicing and information prior to delivery was spot on. Product despatched and arrived in timely fashion. Well packaged arrived promptly safe and sound. The machine itself is so far, a delight. Easy to follow instructions read, plugged in and away. Working through this and that, some new things to learn, can't yet find anything criticise. If you read the specifications and it fits your needs on paper, I think you'll enjoy this machine.

hi, my partner colin brought me this machine. my first computerised one. we got off to a shaky start, the machine (kitty) thinking she was in charge. like most household items they need rules. kitty and i have now decided i'm in charge of speed we are doing great. love this little darling, so easy to train, easy to programme, and apart from the needle threader being fiddly for me (rubbish eyesight) i would highly recommend.

Bought this machine after a lot of research having previously owned 2 other well known brands. I hadn't heard of Jaguar before but I wanted a machine that did letters and numbers as well as automatic buttonholes . This machine gave me everything I wanted at a really good price and a longer guarantee than other machines. It's a brilliant machine ! Easy threading, automatic tension, clear instruction manual. So easy to change stitches. Embroidery stitches are very well done and just a touch of the screen changes length and width. Basic sewing is smooth and even and I love the feature of automatically backstitching begining and end of seams at the touch of a button. Last but not least , the customer service from GUR was outstanding. I would certainly buy Jaguar again and use GUR for any future sewing equipment

Although I bought my Jaguar DQS 405 from GUR in February I didn't get the chance to sew with it until this weekend. Fantastic. I love the speed control, the vast selection of stiches, the needle up/down button, the needle threader etc. This machine is so quiet. I choose Jaguar because I'd previously bought the Jaguar Overlocker and found that easy to use and very quiet compared to the Lidl Model I had. The service was good and the staff very helpful. Thank you.

Have finished a long-standing project to make removable covers for 2 outdoor sofas. The overlocker did the work in short time with beautiful finish inside and out. Needed to change thread and it was easy to follow instructions. My sister is a DT teacher and was very impressed when she saw how easy it is to access the interior for threading and cleaning. Delighted with my purchase. My daughter had the sewing machine for her birthday and has started some simple projects. She is also pleased with the results and loves being able to sew without a foot pedal. Both Jaguar machines have a good quality feel and we are very happy so far.

Purchased to replace my Singer that I’d had for over 40 years and I’m absolutely buzzing with it. It has so many features that my old machine didn’t, lots more stitches and is so quiet. I was a little apprehensive and I must admit the price persuaded me to give this Jaguar DQS 377 a chance and I’m so glad I did. I’ve not used it to it’s full potential just yet but I’m impressed with the 4/5 hours I played around with it when it was delivered yesterday. I ordered Sunday morning and it was delivered Tuesday morning, how’s that for service, impressive, thankyou GUR , one very happy customer. Love the free sewing bag too, thankyou.

Love this machine , it's excellent. Only slight criticism is the access to the bobbin, It's a bit fiddly to fit and retrieve.

Super machine! A huge step up from my first Janome and a considered purchase, but worth it. The knee lift is a real game changer for applique and there are so many stitches to choose from. Although I'm still learning about the machine and what it is capable of, I have no hesitation in recommending it.

I had been looking for an M7 as a surprise present for my wife. I had done lots of research prior to deciding on this model as it had so many innovative and intuitive features that would allow her to expand on what she has done so far. She is very creative and is an active member of a couple of local sewing groups. It is a large machine but this was for her sewing room. Adjustable LED lighting illuminates the workspace really well. The large throat space and included extension table mean that room to work is truly exceptional for a "domestic" sewing machine. The 7 inch touch screen is bright and clear, offering a degree background colour preference, screen saver timing, sleep and auto shut down settings. The dual spool holders easily accept various sized spools and needle/ bobbin treading are easy to follow and a brilliant, reliable needle threader helps greatly. The bobbin winder is really quiet and a joy to use. Stitch settings will take practice to get used to and become second nature, but that is because of the impressive quantity and variety that this machine offers. It's a monumental step up from the 8050XL and any new machine requires some get-to know-you time! The available Accuspark App will help greatly with this with use and is pretty intuitive and really well put together for a free app. The QR code in the bottom RHS of the machine screen has worked every time. We've only had the machine a couple of weeks, but in use so far, the quality of the stitching is truly first class. The brushless DC motor has lots of controlled power and, so far, is smooth and effortless on some free motion quilting with 5 layers of fabric. The 7 piece "box" feed dogs work really well. The separate Accufeed Flex plus motor can be engaged if required and is truly excellent. Adjustments to upper and lower feed ratios can be made if the fabrics require it. The HP "High Performance" needle plate and HP foot allow exceptional straight stitch speed up to 1300 spm and quality easily as good as her PROSEW industrial straight stitch machine. The ability to change between the three included needle plates is truly innovative and easy to do. The machine screen will "grey" out the stitches and functions not compatible with the needle plate fitted. We're really pleased with the M7 and the excellent service from GUR. It comes with a standard 2 year warranty, which we have extended to 5 years through Janome UK for an additional £60 fee. The Janome design team and engineers have really done well to pack so many features into a "domestic" machine. I'd say that the only negative points would be the price and it's size if space was an important consideration. It's still 5*'s from me though and thank you again GUR for your excellent customer service. Much appreciated.

I’ve been sewing for about 10 years, using a mechanical Janone. It is a decent machine, although temperamental when it comes to buttonholes. In a fit of lockdown madness, I bought a Jaguar over locker- having never used one before- and I was smitten. It is a dream. So in a second fit of lockdown madness ( there’s no vaccine for this) I replaced my Janone with a computerised Jaguar. Oh my goodness, it’s another dream of a machine. Buttonholes? Just whisper the word and the machine swings into action. Embroidery and alphabets? I never knew I wanted these. Ordinary stitching? I can vary the lengths and widths precisely. It even threads itself properly. I love this machine, and I’m so glad I bought. It was promptly dispatched by GUR. No complaints.

Extremely happy with my Jaguar DQS405 sewing machine which I purchased as an ex demo. It is so easy to thread and sew with, especially with the easy to thread needle funtion. . I also like the option which allows me to sew without a foot pedal. I would say this is a machine I can grow into as I sew and learn The next day delivery was very good. I give this machine 5 stars.

Having had the machine a few weeks and taken time to get used to its various functions (but not all of them yet!) I have to say I am extremely happy with it. Apart from it looking sleek and ergonomic I love the full colour screen, and video tutorials, the simple, clear way each stitch is described and the modifications you apply (length, width) are displayed on screen as you alter them so no guessing! Using it for quilting a lot of the time the long throat length is perfect, and it has an impressive array of feet and attachments. A nice touch is being able to drop the feed dogs for FMQ from a button on the LCD display screen - no removing the extension table and reaching round to the back of the machine for an up/down lever. The amount and variety of decorative stitches are amazing, and the monogramming function is great. I've had auto-needle threading before but never as infallible as this, works every time. Threading top thread is super easy, the machine even tells you if you've done it wrong, and the bobbin threading is a doddle. The manual is very comprehensive and a brilliant resource. Stitches are even and the machine runs smoothly and quietly. I have had no trouble with nesting. I could go on, singing it's praises but best of all was the customer service from GUR, and Palma in particular who took so much trouble to make sure I had the right machine for me. Highly recommend GUR.

I love this machine, it is a bit pricey but well worth the money. I do quite a lot of quilting and the size of the machine makes this so much easier. It also has plenty of embroidery functions as well. I spent quite sometime looking for the right machine to meet my needs and this machine definitely ticks all the boxes for me.

I finally took the decision to buy the Excellence 680 and I am so glad I did! It is everything I was looking for, wide throat for quilting/patchwork, ease of use, amazing extension table, more variations of stitches than I will ever need with a clear alphabet to add to my delight! I bought this machine for my husband, he was always using mine. I am so jealous.

It is amazing and he is doing so well considering he has only ever sewn skin before. (He was a surgeon) now he has made a quilt which is the envy of al of our children and has a lot of orders from them.

I have not had a look in so far but i am biding my time for when he has a day off. It runs like a dream, so quiet and very easy to manage. The extras are really good. Wish i had one too.

I am loving my new machine; I have struggled with free motion quilting for years using a small Janome domestic machine and a larger husqvarna domestic machine. Skipped stitches eyelashes and broken thread, straight from the box I had no problem and am now quilting with rulers and becoming pleased with the results. So, thankyou it was worth the wait, and the service you provided was excellent. Should I have problems in the future I will be in touch for some help.

I received my Janome 5060 QDC Computerised Sewing Machine Plus Wide Table Included early January but only started using it yesterday. It’s light to carry and the wide table is great as I was sewing curtains. Nice and quiet and easy to use. So far I’ve only used straight stitching and looking forward to use all the embroidery stitches and the quilting accessories. Great machine

Staff very helpful and delivery was next day as promised. Instructions with machine clear and it is quite in use. Had a problem with tension and was disappointed with fancy stitches, I unthreaded machine and rethreaded both upper thread and spool. I had not threaded spool properly and tension is better. I did some dressmaking and find the thread trimmer button and speed adjustment useful. I am still getting used to machine and have not tried all the stitches yet. I am sure I will be able to get support if I need it in future

I’m making a handmade wardrobe and wanted to upgrade a basic machine with one that does buttonholes, bar tacks and utility stitches. After quite a bit of research I decided on the Brother A16 as it seems to be a well built machine with functions that I’ll find useful for sewing jeans, jackets, shirts etc. I particularly like that it copes well with heavy fabrics like denim due to the 7 piece feed dog, and that it has a 1 step auto sizing buttonhole function with 3 buttonhole styles. I also like the ease of the automatic needle threader, the start/stop button, the speed slide control, and the jog dial stitch selector. This machine has an overcasting function which is really useful when making clothes, although I do have a separate overlocker for finishing seams. So far, I’m really happy with this machine and would highly recommend it, and the service from GUR which was excellent. Great 3 year warranty too!

I have just bought the machine, and I am very pleased with it so far. There is quite a lot to learn, but I am working through the book. I liked the way the machine dealt with quite heavy fabric, easily.

I got this after a friend had done all the research whilst looking for a more sophisticated machine for her daughter’s university course. This model was perfect for me. It’s basic but not too basic and the automatic threader is brilliant. The website was easy to use and my new machine was delivered within a couple if days of being ordered on Boxing Day. As I had been to John Lewis and they had absolutely no sewing machines in stock I was thrilled to get this.

I ordered this machine on 22nd December, with no real hope of receiving it until after the Xmas period. It arrived the next day!!!!!! It’s a fabulous machine, very user friendly and supplied with all the accessories you could possibly need. The great selection of stitches for dressmaking, quilting and embroidery, are very easy to access and the very clever machine won’t allow the user to do anything to harm it! I love it. Thank you GUR for such excellent service and for such a good price. Highly recommended.

Brilliant machine so far, excellent service ordered on a Friday received it on the Saturday. Customer service was excellent when i ordered it and the guy was very helpful. Very easy to use machine and thread. The speed is fantastic, love the cutting button and the threading of the bobbin can be done without re threading the machine. Good instruction book. My only regret is not buying it sooner !!

Love it! This is an upgrade from another Janome machine. So easy to get to grips with, I've already finished a pair of trousers with it. Powerfull enough for thicker fabrics, plenty of decorative stitch options and lots of handy features. Combined with my overlocker this produces beautifully finished garments. I would definitely recommend this machine.

I have not had a new machine since I was 18 - then spent the last 25 years wearing out machines family cast-offs so when my last second hand machine bit the dust I decided the time had come to treat myself. However lockdown put paid to the in store experience so a neighbour lent me her Brother LX17 - a basic machine but impressive and my first experience of a Brother. After many many hours reviewing different models and now looking to incorporate one that was easy enough for my daughter to learn to machine sew with and to meet my current needs I chose the Innov-is NV15. Still getting to grips with the auto needle threading - there is definitely a knack to it - but as to the rest, just love it. Machine feels solid but easy enough to move. Love the threading & bobbin guides printed on it. Good lighting, well lit stitch selection screen, simple stitch selection and adjustment (worth sewing a sample sheet displaying the different stitches in different widths and lengths). Easy to change speed and needle position. And the stitch quality is fabulous. I had been expecting to spend around £500+ but this meets my needs for now or until my daughter lays claim to it!! Highly recommend.

I purchased the Janome 780dc sewing machine on Monday, excellent service received from Palma in customer service. The item arrived at 8.15 am the following morning. The machine is for a Christmas present so not sure on the workings yet, but a great company to deal with.

The Brother Innovis A50 is a great machine and the service from GUR was also great. From my first call to Palma who answered the phone to me, I have nothing but praise for this company. My friend told me about it, and it was a great choice. I haven't used/tried the machine much yet, but what I have has been great. The self threading device has come on wonderfully in recent years, and for anyone who knew this self threading device years ago and knew how difficult it was, this is totally different. Just fantastic and soooo easy.

I chose this as it seemed to have all the features I needed and was similar to my previous 14 year old Brother machine which was tired out. I'm pleased with the replacement as the LED screen is easy to use, the number of stitches are sufficient for my needs and the bonus of the wide table will be useful for a quilting project which is a new project for me.
