I would not be able to afford this machine if I bought it from the manufacturers or another supplier. I received it within a couple of days of my order being processed. It was a very easy ordering experience. I love the fact that there is an option to split the payments into manageable chunks.I am new to sewing, and was a little bit nervous about ordering a brand New machine. The instructional videos on the site are excellent. They are also available on YouTube. The quick threading system and drop and sew bobbin feature are perfect for beginners. The machine itself is joy to use. There are choice of 500 stitches. Some of them are in think it's Chinese or Japanese fonts. I’m so pleased with this machine. It’s really easy to use and I’m really impressed with the features it offers. Pluses for me are the drop in bobbin and the start stop facility. There are loads of stitch patterns available too. It’s a little fiddly unscrewing the plate to access the parts to oil, but I think that’s me rather than the machine.

Purchased as a lightweight and sturdy machine to take to workshops, which if fulfils. Delighted with the range of stitiches, easy to drop feed dogs and the needle threader. A well made machine. I have a Jaguar overlocker and highly recommend this brand. Excellant value for the money.

Was perusing machines for a friend getting back into sewing & came across the Jaguar DQS 405 & it was on offer (ex demo) at an excellent price. Husband bought it for me as when I bought my last machine, it was buy what's left due to the pandemic. It started me on my sewing journey, but, after using a computerised machine at a sewing class I was hankering after one. I am not disappointed. What a super machine. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get my head around the instructions, but, after playing around with the machine over a couple of sessions I've now sussed it. I don't know why I was worried. Nice easy machine to use, smooth action. Tried the button hole function and it did miss a couple of stitches, also the automatic threading is a little fiddly which kind of defeats the object. However, on the whole a good machine for the money.

just started to use my sewing machine Jaguar DQS405 it is so quiet just purrs forgive the pun ,also the needle threader is a life saver for me, my failing eye sight and shaking hands were making sewing very difficult but not anymore. A great machine and great company, would recommend.

Ordering process was very straight forward, invoicing and information prior to delivery was spot on. Product despatched and arrived in timely fashion. Well packaged arrived promptly safe and sound. The machine itself is so far, a delight. Easy to follow instructions read, plugged in and away. Working through this and that, some new things to learn, can't yet find anything criticise. If you read the specifications and it fits your needs on paper, I think you'll enjoy this machine.

Bought this machine after a lot of research having previously owned 2 other well known brands. I hadn't heard of Jaguar before but I wanted a machine that did letters and numbers as well as automatic buttonholes . This machine gave me everything I wanted at a really good price and a longer guarantee than other machines. It's a brilliant machine ! Easy threading, automatic tension, clear instruction manual. So easy to change stitches. Embroidery stitches are very well done and just a touch of the screen changes length and width. Basic sewing is smooth and even and I love the feature of automatically backstitching begining and end of seams at the touch of a button. Although I bought my Jaguar DQS 405 from GUR in February I didn't get the chance to sew with it until this weekend. Fantastic. I love the speed control, the vast selection of stiches, the needle up/down button, the needle threader etc. This machine is so quiet. I choose Jaguar because I'd previously bought the Jaguar Overlocker and found that easy to use and very quiet compared to the Lidl Model I had. The service was good and the staff very helpful. Thank you.

Have finished a long-standing project to make removable covers for 2 outdoor sofas. The overlocker did the work in short time with beautiful finish inside and out. Needed to change thread and it was easy to follow instructions. My sister is a DT teacher and was very impressed when she saw how easy it is to access the interior for threading and cleaning. Delighted with my purchase. My daughter had the sewing machine for her birthday and has started some simple projects. She is also pleased with the results and loves being able to sew without a foot pedal. Both Jaguar machines have a good quality feel and we are very happy so far.

Purchased to replace my Singer that I’d had for over 40 years and I’m absolutely buzzing with it. It has so many features that my old machine didn’t, lots more stitches and is so quiet. I was a little apprehensive and I must admit the price persuaded me to give this Jaguar DQS 377 a chance and I’m so glad I did. I’ve not used it to it’s full potential just yet but I’m impressed with the 4/5 hours I played around with it when it was delivered yesterday. I’ve been sewing for about 10 years, using a mechanical Janone. It is a decent machine, although temperamental when it comes to buttonholes. In a fit of lockdown madness, I bought a Jaguar over locker- having never used one before- and I was smitten. It is a dream. So in a second fit of lockdown madness ( there’s no vaccine for this) I replaced my Janone with a computerised Jaguar. Oh my goodness, it’s another dream of a machine. Buttonholes? Just whisper the word and the machine swings into action. Embroidery and alphabets? I never knew I wanted these. Ordinary stitching? I can vary the lengths and widths precisely. It even threads itself properly. I love this machine, and I’m so glad I bought. It was promptly dispatched by GUR. No complaints.

Couldn't be happier. It is so easy to use and the automatic needle threader is a game changer! Love the one button needle up or down and the sliding speed control button. Reassured by GURs guarantee but also the build quality which means that I don't expect to have to use it.

Hopefully sooner rather than later I will be ordering a jaguar overlock machine to complement the 403.i would have liked the all sing and dancing one (money is a bit tight at the moment but not dissatisfied with the one I got. Delivery fast .no complaints whatsoever regarding gur.👍👍👍

This is the first time I have used a Jaguar sewing machine , having used Singer for the last 30 years. I can say that the machine looks very well made. I have used it to make a summer dress and have found that each setting I have used has worked very well. It is taking me some practice to get used to the start stop button instead of using the foot pedal, but the fantastic thing is that I have a choice of either. I am finding that the information booklet is good at explaining how to use the embroidery section. I love my new machine, It is going to get better with practice for me, but I cannot fault the machine at all.

I bought this machine from GUR as I have been a client for many years and this is not the first machine I have bought from the Company. This one was a birthday gift for my daughter and will be her first. We were worried that it would not arrive in time since the order was placed just after Christmas but as soon as I had confirmed the order by phone it was prepared and dispatched. I was not sure what model to buy and so I asked and was given very sound advice. I live in Italy and was delighted when the machine arrived in good time for the 11 January birthday. A lovely machine: solid, quiet and a great range of stitches. Have made two children's aprons so far and the stitching is super. A very easy machine to use. I haven't sewn for a few years and loved my old, solid machine, this one is a great replacement and upgrade. Highly recommend.

I have bought a great deal from Gur sewing machines from accessories to top of line sewing/embroidery machines. I live in France yet the delivery has been prompt and supplied tracking good. The prices have mostly been unbeatable. I recently purchased the Small Jaguar DQS 405 machine as a gift for my granddaughter and whereas the machine is good for a young beginner I have been very spoilt with my more top end machines and apart from patchwork this particular Machine would never be good for me and the work that I do. I am very pleased with my sewing machine which as replaced my old Pfaff creative machine.

The machine is wonderful and sews like a Rolls Royce but only cost a mini! Since I received it I have made several tops, dresses and even a bag.

I have called it Erik after the delivery man who arrived exactly when he should have. Many thanks to you all at GUR for encouraging me to buy this model, so far I have not regretted it.

Received my Jaguar DQS 405 very promptly a couple of weeks ago. Was pleased with the quality of the build, and the solidness of the case. Having had a couple of weeks now to try it out - the needle threader is fab - my eyesight not what it was. I have done some straight sewing on it and now learning how to use the embroidery stitches. My old machine is at least 30 years old so using a computerised machine rather different but so far so good. Overall very pleased with my purchase and service from GUR.

I've only just bought this machine and can't believe how good it is.

I've got a top of the range Pfaff but this out does that hands down.

Not keen on the backwards button as I'm used to my other one just tying off at the start and end of a row but other than that all's good.

For the money it seems to be a well built good quality machine.

I bought this machine when my old one broke down soon after starting the massive task of making new loose covers for my lounge suite. The new machine is excellent, very smooth and easily able to deal with many layers of fabric effortlessly. The bobbin just drops in and threads easily and the whole operation is very quick. This machine would be ideal for a beginner. The price is amazing and mine was delivered in 48 hours. Excellent service, highly recommended.

I treated myself to the Jaguar DQS 405 sewing machine and its been an absolute dream to use for my patchwork classes and around the home. I had a Frister Rossmann machine which was bought for me as gift last year and had nothing but hassle, the machine kept on breaking down me and had it replied 4 times under warranty, it was useless. Great service great machine a breeze to use- so simple my teenager loves to use it! Good features practically sews by itself! Sturdy solid machine. I keep looking for new projects to do lol . Alphabet and numerals make it easy to personalise. 1 criticism though I find it has far fewer stitches than the 500 advertised !! But what is there are good for quilting etc..

I love my new sewing machine. I am a beginner to sewing and I have completed 4 small projects already in 3 weeks. This machine is quiet and very easy to use. The quick threading system is a much appreciated nice to have. It everything that one would need in a modern computerised sewing machine. Thanks Palma for the excellent service and advice. I cannot rate this machine or Steven from GUR highly enough. Steven was very helpful and had a sense of humour!!! As he had to guide me through the online ordering process, that was a bonus! I got my lovely new machine a couple of days after ordering, and I loved it from the word go. It is so easy to use, and came with a very comprehensive manual. Free cottons, needles, extension table and lots more goodies AND I part exchanged my machine for £100 making this an even bigger bargain :) I highly recommend this machine and GUR.

My mum surprised me with my first new sewing machine for all my university projects. Love the jaguar machine, love the easy threading, love the easy bobbin loading and love the ease of use. The speed controller is fantastic for a starter like me to be able to control the machine to my pace. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the Jaguar DQS 405 it’s the perfect companion for me to develop my sewing skills!

I am a beginner to patchwork and quilting, this machine was recommended to me by one of my classroom quilters. WOW have I improved or what, thoroughly enjoyed using the Jaguar 377 compared to my Janome TXL607 which gave me grief and the machine was exchanged and same faults: 1. Foot control not working, machine kept messaging foot not connected 2. Tension problem on the lower side of sewing. 3. Machine was so intermittent one day the electrics okay and the following day the machine will not want to operate. Since I treated myself to the Jaguar 377 I have managed to make 2 quilts which one of them I am hoping to have on display at the Malvern Quilt Show. Thank you GUR for all the help and advice and thanking you for taking my old machine in part exchange.

Visited GUR Superstore and was pleasantly surprised at the range of haberdashery and sewing machine selection. This is my 3rd machine from GUR, after trying various brands...decided on the Jaguar as the stitch quality and finishing seemed far better for my quilting projects. I have had the machine for 3 months and have put it through some difficult to sew projects, glad to say - NO PROBLEM . Thank you GUR for the time and coffees at the store and for putting up with me for most of the morning before making my choice. 5 stars.

Wonderful Machine.

Easy to use with loads of fabulous sewing stitches. Easy threading.......LOVE the needle threader, my friends were so surprised when showed them that I could thread the needle without looking at machine. Will recommend this machine to anyone.

GUR sewing machines offered me their best price for the sewing machine (which was well in between my price range) AND they offered me a few extra free gifts which i thought was brilliant of them.
