This is a fabulous machine. The instruction are clear and easy to understand. It is easy to thread and use. It is quiet and runs very smoothly. A lovely bonus was the included feet. It gives a far better finish than my other 2 big name overlockers. I highly recommend this overlocker.

I have waited to report on my Brother overlocker (2104D) in order to give it a good work out. It is my first overlocker and I have now made some drawstring bags and a dress.

As the machine came ready threaded it was easy to get started on samples. I used the 4 thread stitch it was set up for on various types of fabric, both with the blade in use and with it retracted. I removed a thread and then used the 3 thread option. Both were very neat and the machine performed perfectly. I had watched the accompanying DVD and looked at the printed manual.

The fact that the trials went well gave me the confidence to rethread the 4th thread and to test on a real project. The bags were very straight forward and the finish very professional. My first item of clothing, a dress, went …

Brilliant, having never used an overlocker it was a bit daunting but this came ready to sew with, I'm really enjoying using it.

Ordered online and the machine arrived the next day. Manual and CD instruction video included, but there’s lots of help too online. . Machine pre-threaded, so was able to start practising straightaway.

So far, so very good. Entirely my own fault but I have had a fair amount of threading practice since my overlocker arrived and it really is as easy as it's said to be. And much easier than the Janome I learned on. The manual was fine but I found it very helpful to find it online and then blow up the pictures for the lower looper threading. So far, I've done 3 and 4 thread overlooking - both seams and neatening. Yes, it's a trifle noisy but it does everything that I can imagine wanting to do. Speedy delivery. Machine arrived all set up which was great as its a bit fiddly to thread but becomes easy once you get the hang of it. It's compact but sturdy. Bit early to tell but so far seems like a great buy.

I am so pleased with my overlocker, It’s my first and I love it, I haven’t threaded it yet but it looks easy enough and with all the instructions I shouldn’t have much trouble. The cotton they provide is a bonus, it makes it a joy to get cracking straight away. The little tray is a great asset and so is the extended table thingy, on other maKes and models these are extras, I have made a bag and a dolls dress so far😊 the world’s my oyster. It was delivered really quickly too and the driver was very helpful. Overall I would definitely recommend this 😊

Easy to order, delivery was very quick. The overlocker came pre threaded which was very useful. The machine is compact but does the job very well. The accessory pack contained tweezers for threading the machine, spare needles and additional feet to carry out other tasks such as gathering etc plus other tools. The waste try is very handy and keeps the work area tidy. The foot pedal is lighter than I expected it to be but does the job. Overall I'm very pleased with the overlocker.

I asked questions via the online web chat which helped me make my mind up to purchase this machine, I haven’t used it much but it is easy to thread and it works brilliantly. I wanted to buy a Brother as I have a Brother embroidery machine and have never had any problems with it and find it very easy to use. I haven't used an overlocker for about 20 years and remember how difficult it was to thread, but technology has moved on and I'm so pleased with this machine. It is extremely easy to operate and threading is a doddle compared to the old machines as long as you take your time and do it methodically. The only down side is that it is noisy. I have put it on a padded mat which does help, but I'll have to try something thicker. Overall a joy to use and I wish I'd bought one earlier.

Arrived next day, everything perfect, already threaded. Watched the video and was then able to see out a little purse. I managed to break a needle , so needed to rethread but much to my surprise was pretty straightforward.

Perfect little overlocker, came threaded which was a god send! Not used too much but does everything I want. Haven't had any faults with the company yet either

I replaced my old overlocker with the Brother 4234D, I have found it very easy to use and adjust, I see many different types of fabric and it has been perfect for the ones I have used so far , I have not tried a rolled hem but hope to give that a go soon , the needle threader is very useful.

This overlocker is great for beginners and the more experienced. Easy to get the hang of, threading it was a piece of cake, it gives my projects a fast professional finish. So glad I purchased this item. Would recommend.

A sturdy little machine, bought as a second Overlocker to support a grandmother sewing for assorted grandchildren and reduce the time spent rethreading different colours. I can now have a dark and a light thread ready to use. A luxury indeed. I used her to make a child's fleece top. She managed two layers with ease, needed a little careful handling with neckband three layers, but overall worked well. She really is easy to thread, a lot easier than my Jannome. The only reason she gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because she is missing a built in thread cutter. Its been a while since I have had to use snips to snip thread after chaining off. As always GUR offer great service, they are a pleasure to buy from. Informative, helpful and always cheerful.

I have had a brother Overlocker before which was why I went for this one. I was not disappointed it’s an excellent machine if a trifle noisy. I ordered this machine and was really surprised when it arrived the next day. I have used it quite a bit and i'm really pleased with it. I did have a problem when one of the threads had broken and after about 30 minutes I looked again at the manual and low and behold the answer was there. Once I found the sliding lever I managed to insert the thread through the machine. Great tutorial on a dvd. which I watched with interest as I've never had an overlocking machine before. I purchased this overlocker as it was highly recommended on various websites and seemed pretty easy simple to use. I have never used an overlocker before and found it a bit daunting to start with. I would have preferred to have the machine arrive ready threaded with spools but there was only enough thread to show how it threads. So my first difficult task was to thread the machine, which I was able to do with the YouTube video. After that it's been plain sailing and I hope that I get many hours of happy sewing. I haven't tried the other feet yet so can't review them.

Lovely overlocker, I found it very easy to get started with the white thread that was already threaded in the machine. I have since re threaded it my self and although I found one particular bit very fiddly, I have managed it several times since and now find threading very easy. A nice quite machine that doesn’t move when In use.

This is the first overlocker I’ve bought, I am very pleased with it. I have had sewing machines all my life, but thought I’d treat myself to a new addition. It is very good and easy to use, the only thing I haven’t done yet is actually thread it , l just tie my new cotton and pull it through. I’m looking forward to all the new things I can do with this machine.

My order arrived in good time and very well packed. I have now used my Overlocker machine a few times and am really enjoying it. This is my first overlocker machine and after viewing the dvd I have had no problems threading.

This is a lovely sturdy machine . The front load thread is so much easier than my 30 year old Janome. Highly recommended. The bag is nice and sturdy .

I have had this overlocker about a month now; I felt like I should not really buy it as I leeds he a manual thread overlocker but I kept running into problems threading and I could rarely trace back what I was doing wrong and so I wasted so much time messing about. I don’t regret getting this machine as it has taken away all that stress and I can get sewing so much quicker. I was very happy with the free threads that GUR also sent as an extra and these threads are excellent quality. In addition they also sent a carry bag and again I was very surprised and happy with the quality. The machine arrived quickly and no fuss. I recommend all aspects of the service§ice and the goods.

Wished for Christmas present, so far so good. Got it out to play and it works fine straight out of the box. The straight stitch and switch to rolled hem all good. Yet to try the free gathering foot or have to clean and oil ...plenty more to discover and looking forward to many hours of playing

Hi. I’ve already started using my overlocker and found that it makes life a lot easier for the air threading and also the needle threader attached to the side. I was a bit disappointed with the fact that there was no free arm but it’s easy enough to get around this problem of sewing in circles . It’s the best thing Janome has put onto the market. Love it. Would recommend it to people who struggle threading over lockers especially if they have poor eyes as I do. THANK YOU JANOME.

I can honestly say this Janome 9300DX is the best.
It is easy to thread. It is easy to clean. It overlocks /serge’s brilliantly. Easy to change to a Rolled Hem without using any ‘fingers’ it’s a simple 3 step change. Rolled hems are amazing on this machine.
Go in a Sewing Machine shop and have a trial practice. You will be seriously impressed.

It worked more or less out of the box. After threading it (thought you might have left a bit more cotton on!) my wife was sewing a hem on a dress 20 minutes later. It sews an extremely neat 2 mm finish out of the box and we haven't changed that yet. Initially starting sewing the machine sounded as though it wouldn't move but after checking everything and pressing on it worked smoothly and quickly. It just sounded differently to our old machine. Threading is easy using the tie on method but the bottom looper will still be tricky (but not difficult) Your service was top class; you kept us informed of the delivery by email and the tracking of the order was brilliant! If you are planning to buy the Brother 4234D Overlocker, make sure to buy the extension as a bundle is only £40 and is worth it, otherwise is £72. Furthermore, I purchased a bag for thread or sewing accessories as part on my bundle and only cost me £1 (But the bag smelled like industrial glue at first - before washing it). Make sure to have a look at the bundles, because you have to click on what you want before you make the purchase, if not you lost the opportunity to buy few accessories for a reasonable price. Was always afraid to buy an overlocker as they looked so complicated took the plunge and went for janome 2000D brilliant everyone should have one of these super easy to thread and use really solid frame its perfect
