For Peace of Mind...
The Janome DKS30 is a really easy to use, fully computerised sewing machine and yet it is packed with so many powerful features.
DKS stands for Direct Key Selection. Every one of it's 30 built-in stitches has it's own individual key. Select a stitch and the key illuminates whilst the LCD screen highlights your choice plus standard width & length settings which can be varied at the touch of a button. It offers a choice of 3 styles of 1-step buttonholes and a great range of stitches for all types of sewing.
Special features include pattern elongation up to 5 times normal length, a NEW easy set bobbin system, a NEW auto bobbin winder system, an automatic needle threader, an automatic thread cutter, a needle up/down facility, and an auto-lock stitch feature for precision locking off of stitches & patterns. It even has an automatic twin needle regulator and a start/stop button so you don't have to use the foot control.
I am looking for a machine for Quilting there is no mention of the sewing area to the right of the needle. What size is it?
1 AnswerFor this machine, the arm space to the right of the needle is 17cm (6.69 inches).
Hi Are you able to tell me the rpm (stitch speed )on the Janome DKS 30 please? Many thanks.
1 AnswerHi, the Maximum Sewing Speed of the Janome DKS30 Is: 820 s.p.m.
I purchased the DKS30SE as I wanted a computerised model that was fairly basic. I already own other (Janome) machines that have a large variety of built in stitches and as this machine will be used mainly for dressmaking, patchwork and general sewing, it is perfect. I really like the fact that the stitches are clearly displayed on large buttons and also the foot that is needed. By the press of a button the machine will set stitch width and length but there is the capability to make adjustments. All of the B category feet I have for my Jem Platinum fit the machine. For me, the feature I love the most has to be the thread cutter and the needle threader! This is a fabulous machine and would be ideal for a beginner or an experienced sewist. It has already fit very nicely into my machine collection! 🤓
I am really pleased with thus machine. The machine is very heavy and is made mostly of metal parts as far as i can tell. The needle arm cover opens easily so i can clean inside the machine. I am exceptionally pleased with the speed i have found i can go full speed to slow instantly or vice versa without thread problems like my last machine. I also prefer the LED lights its much brighter than the standard bulb. This came with a hard cover which was great! Overall the machine runs really well without problems and has become my favourite machine so far!
