Jaguar DQS 405 Sewing and Quilting Machine

I would not be able to afford this machine if I bought it from the manufacturers or another supplier. I received it within a couple of days of my order being processed. It was a very easy ordering experience. I love the fact that there is an option to split the payments into manageable chunks.I am new to sewing, and was a little bit nervous about ordering a brand New machine. The instructional videos on the site are excellent. They are also available on YouTube. The quick threading system and drop and sew bobbin feature are perfect for beginners. The machine itself is joy to use. There are choice of 500 stitches. Some of them are in think it's Chinese or Japanese fonts. They in their own right are very very pretty.I've had to ring the store a couple of times with questions, not about the machine, however I found the customer services excellent.I could not be happier with my purchase. I've shared details of the store with family and friends as I think they are highly recommendable.

I’m so pleased with this machine. It’s really easy to use and I’m really impressed with the features it offers. Pluses for me are the drop in bobbin and the start stop facility. There are loads of stitch patterns available too. It’s a little fiddly unscrewing the plate to access the parts to oil, but I think that’s me rather than the machine.

Purchased as a lightweight and sturdy machine to take to workshops, which if fulfils. Delighted with the range of stitiches, easy to drop feed dogs and the needle threader. A well made machine. I have a Jaguar overlocker and highly recommend this brand. Excellant value for the money.

Was perusing machines for a friend getting back into sewing & came across the Jaguar DQS 405 & it was on offer (ex demo) at an excellent price. Husband bought it for me as when I bought my last machine, it was buy what's left due to the pandemic. It started me on my sewing journey, but, after using a computerised machine at a sewing class I was hankering after one. I am not disappointed. What a super machine. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get my head around the instructions, but, after playing around with the machine over a couple of sessions I've now sussed it. I don't know why I was worried. I just love everything about the machine, but, I especially love how you can control the speed compared to my mechanical machine.....I can be a bit heavy footed at times. Overall a fantastic machine in my view & well worth the money....even at full price. My order for the machine was fully straight forward, with great invoicing, replies to email & delivery too. Great all round service....thank you.

just started to use my sewing machine Jaguar DQS405 it is so quiet just purrs forgive the pun ,also the needle threader is a life saver for me, my failing eye sight and shaking hands were making sewing very difficult but not anymore. A great machine and great company, would recommend.

Superb machine, I'm an absolute novice but this bit of kit makes everything so easy It does everything I wanted and more It's quick easy and a joy to use With next day delivery and a great deal plus superb customer service what's not to like

I am getting to know my new sewing machine, so far so good, I found the walking foot easy to attach so now I am ready for the next patchwork class.

Ordering process was very straight forward, invoicing and information prior to delivery was spot on. Product despatched and arrived in timely fashion. Well packaged arrived promptly safe and sound. The machine itself is so far, a delight. Easy to follow instructions read, plugged in and away. Working through this and that, some new things to learn, can't yet find anything criticise. If you read the specifications and it fits your needs on paper, I think you'll enjoy this machine.

Bought this machine after a lot of research having previously owned 2 other well known brands. I hadn't heard of Jaguar before but I wanted a machine that did letters and numbers as well as automatic buttonholes . This machine gave me everything I wanted at a really good price and a longer guarantee than other machines. It's a brilliant machine ! Easy threading, automatic tension, clear instruction manual. So easy to change stitches. Embroidery stitches are very well done and just a touch of the screen changes length and width. Basic sewing is smooth and even and I love the feature of automatically backstitching begining and end of seams at the touch of a button. Last but not least , the customer service from GUR was outstanding. I would certainly buy Jaguar again and use GUR for any future sewing equipment

Although I bought my Jaguar DQS 405 from GUR in February I didn't get the chance to sew with it until this weekend. Fantastic. I love the speed control, the vast selection of stiches, the needle up/down button, the needle threader etc. This machine is so quiet. I choose Jaguar because I'd previously bought the Jaguar Overlocker and found that easy to use and very quiet compared to the Lidl Model I had. The service was good and the staff very helpful. I’ve been sewing for about 10 years, using a mechanical Janone. It is a decent machine, although temperamental when it comes to buttonholes. In a fit of lockdown madness, I bought a Jaguar over locker- having never used one before- and I was smitten. It is a dream. So in a second fit of lockdown madness ( there’s no vaccine for this) I replaced my Janone with a computerised Jaguar. Oh my goodness, it’s another dream of a machine. Buttonholes? Just whisper the word and the machine swings into action. Embroidery and alphabets? I never knew I wanted these. Ordinary stitching? I can vary the lengths and widths precisely. It even threads itself properly. I love this machine, and I’m so glad I bought. It was promptly dispatched by GUR. No complaints.

Extremely happy with my Jaguar DQS405 sewing machine which I purchased as an ex demo. It is so easy to thread and sew with, especially with the easy to thread needle funtion. . I also like the option which allows me to sew without a foot pedal. I would say this is a machine I can grow into as I sew and learn The next day delivery was very good. I give this machine 5 stars.

I am very pleased so far with my new machine.Havent used many of the features yet but have found it easy to thread & use.Sews an accurate quarter inch seam.Price was excellent for the quilting package.Delivery &tracking info was very good

This is the first time I have used a Jaguar sewing machine , having used Singer for the last 30 years. I can say that the machine looks very well made. I have used it to make a summer dress and have found that each setting I have used has worked very well. It is taking me some practice to get used to the start stop button instead of using the foot pedal, but the fantastic thing is that I have a choice of either. I am finding that the information booklet is good at explaining how to use the embroidery section. I love my new machine, It is going to get better with practice for me, but I cannot fault the machine at all.

I bought this machine from GUR as I have been a client for many years and this is not the first machine I have bought from the Company. This one was a birthday gift for my daughter and will be her first. We were worried that it would not arrive in time since the order was placed just after Christmas but as soon as I had confirmed the order by phone it was prepared and dispatched. I was not sure what model to buy and so I asked and was given very sound advice. I live in Italy and was delighted when the machine arrived in good time for the 11 January birthday. We opened the packaging and examined the machine and changed the power cord connection to Italian standard. We ran the machine for a few minutes and it sounded so sweet! We repacked it and presented it on the day so as yet it is too early to review the performance however, it has many features that my machine does not including the facility to make name tags for our 6 year old grand-daughters school clothing. I am sure it will give great satisfaction! If not - I will swap it for my sturdy old Elna also supplied by GUR about 10 years ago.

I have bought a great deal from Gur sewing machines from accessories to top of line sewing/embroidery machines. I live in France yet the delivery has been prompt and supplied tracking good. The prices have mostly been unbeatable. I recently purchased the Small Jaguar DQS 405 machine as a gift for my granddaughter and whereas the machine is good for a young beginner I have been very spoilt with my more top end machines and apart from patchwork this particular Machine would never be good for me and the work that I do. Neither would I have paid the full -original price but at special offer it is an excellent purchase. I am now saving up for a Janome M7 machine which for quilting, art quilts, and all general sewing would be my ultimate for a very good sewing machine. At the moment it is beyond my reach but when I can purchase it will be to Gur sewing machines I will purchase from with confidence in their service. Can't recommend both GUR and this particular machine enough. Steve went above and beyond to make sure I got the best machine for my needs, and this Jaguar is phenomenal. So easy to set up and use, and the quality is amazing! Looking forward to many years of happy sewing.

Received my Jaguar DQS 405 very promptly a couple of weeks ago. Was pleased with the quality of the build, and the solidness of the case. Having had a couple of weeks now to try it out - the needle threader is fab - my eyesight not what it was. I have done some straight sewing on it and now learning how to use the embroidery stitches. My old machine is at least 30 years old so using a computerised machine rather different but so far so good. Overall very pleased with my purchase and service from GUR.

I've only just bought this machine and can't believe how good it is.

I've got a top of the range Pfaff but this out does that hands down.

Not keen on the backwards button as I'm used to my other one just tying off at the start and end of a row but other than that all's good.

For the money it seems to be a well built good quality machine.

I bought this machine when my old one broke down soon after starting the massive task of making new loose covers for my lounge suite. The new machine is excellent, very smooth and easily able to deal with many layers of fabric effortlessly. The bobbin just drops in and threads easily and the whole operation is very quick. This machine would be ideal for a beginner. The price is amazing and mine was delivered in 48 hours. Excellent service, highly recommended.

I treated myself to the Jaguar DQS 405 sewing machine and its been an absolute dream to use for my patchwork classes and around the home. I had a Frister Rossmann machine which was bought for me as gift last year and had nothing but hassle, the machine kept on breaking down me and had it replied 4 times under warranty, it was useless. I would recommend GUR Sewing Machines as they took my machine in part exchange and gave me £100 trade in ( I was lucky as it was a scrap machine in my opinion).......GUR help me with lessons on my new Jaguar sewing machine and loads of advice, I will not be shopping anywhere else Thank You GUR Sewing

Great service great machine a breeze to use- so simple my teenager loves to use it! Good features practically sews by itself! Sturdy solid machine. I keep looking for new projects to do lol . Alphabet and numerals make it easy to personalise. 1 criticism though I find it has far fewer stitches than the 500 advertised !! But what is there are good for quilting etc..

I love my new sewing machine. I am a beginner to sewing and I have completed 4 small projects already in 3 weeks. This machine is quiet and very easy to use. I cannot rate this machine or Steven from GUR highly enough. Steven was very helpful and had a sense of humour!!! As he had to guide me through the online ordering process, that was a bonus! I got my lovely new machine a couple of days after ordering, and I loved it from the word go. It is so easy to use, and came with a very comprehensive manual. Free cottons, needles, extension table and lots more goodies AND I part exchanged my machine for £100 making this an even bigger bargain :) I highly recommend this machine and GUR.

My mum surprised me with my first new sewing machine for all my university projects. Love the jaguar machine, love the easy threading, love the easy bobbin loading and love the ease of use. The speed controller is fantastic for a starter like me to be able to control the machine to my pace. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the Jaguar DQS 405 it’s the perfect companion for me to develop my sewing skills!

I own a Jaguar 127 and have always found the machine very reliable and was of course glad to learn that they had made a new model. This was the first time that I had heard of an offer of this type since I have started sewing - wow! I am overjoyed with the new machine, the Jaguar DQS 405 Sewing Machine. The staff at GUR were very kind and professional, they were even able to offer me £100 trade in for my old machine. I wanted to know more about the new Digital Quick threading system. The sales person at GUR said that it was the best thing since ‘sliced bread’ - I was slightly dubious about this comment but I did trust the Jaguar name and my friends had recommended GUR to me, so I thought that I would dive in and give it a try. Anyway, the machine arrived and I turned it on, pulled the threader into the right position whole thing threaded itself up! This was amazing and I was overjoyed. Your see, I am now getting a little elderly now, and my eyes are not as sharp as they used to be. Threading was always one of those things that I just had to do and used to hate. Now, I am able to thread my needle with my eyes closed and with no stress. This already saved me lots of time and has made the the whole process so much easier for me - thanks GUR. The machine has a well built construction, sounds really solid and has a very simple menu system, I have already started to sew dresses and have now finished my first project - curtains for the front room! The machine has been able to do manage and sew together silks to heavy material with no issues at all. Finally, I want to say that I am grateful to the GUR team, who really looked after me and always gave me the best advice for my situation, the machine is the best investment that I have made in a long time!
