I made this coat using Vogue pattern V8550, I was really drawn to the pleating detail, and it has pockets! The fabric is a coat-weight cranberry Mouflon, which is a lovely soft and warm wool-alternative, and although it's quite a bulky fabric, my machine handled it with with ease, even the buttonholes. The trickiest part was working out all the pleating but once I had the folds figured out and held accurately in place with plenty of basting stitches, the coat came together quite easily. The only change I made was to add an extra 10cm to the length.
