Replacing canvas wheelhouse windows on a motor yacht

By Peter Smith

I am replacing the see-through panels for a motor yacht's wheelhouse awning. Because my twine comes on a 5000 metre cob I have had to modify the feed arrangement, as shown. The machine was delivered about a month ago. I constructed a special table to set the sewing deck level with the table and fitted a walking foot which, so far, has been brilliant. My next project is a cover about 4m x 4m with fitted ends and sides, so the window replacements were a training exercise. The long arm is exceptionally useful for big canvas projects. Very pleased.
