Lightweight summer jacket

I have only just taken up sewing, having done it at school many years ago and hated it! I bought the overlocker so I could neaten the seams as being a jacket they are visible. On reflection, trying to overlock seams on a curve was a bit ambitious and I have to confess I did cheat and sew them first on my sewing machine, mainly using the overlocker to ensure they didn’t fray and look professional. It’s far from perfect but on the whole I’m pleased with it. And it has the distinction of being the first thing I have made that I can and will actually wear, yay.
