Produced with “a few little helping hands” – and her Janome sewing machine
Every now again we like to punish some examples of our customers’ wonderful sewing achievements here on the GUR Sewing Machines blog. This latest brilliant example comes Ros Glasby who lives in Hoton, a lovely part of the world in Leicestershire.
Please send photos and descriptions of your sewing achievements to our Facebook page – we’d love to hear from you!
“Its a dress for work with a boat neck front and deep back with invisible zip and back pleats” explained Ros.
“The pattern is the ‘shift dress’ from the Avid Seamstress – a high quality paper pattern beautifully presented with clear instructions.
“I made a full bust adjustment but otherwise followed the size 10. It has pockets too, which is cool”.
Produced on the Janome DKS100 sewing machine
Ros’s machine of choice was her Janome DKS100 sewing machine, purchased from GUR. There’s one particular feature that she loves – the automatic thread cutter.
“I have a little corner sewing station in the kids playroom so it is a fun room with a few little helping hands” explained Ros.
